Confirmation 2018-07-02T13:13:54+00:00

A place to belong; a place to become.

In this four-year process, high schoolers get plugged into small groups where they can ask questions with other teens, grow in their Catholic faith, and prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Through dynamic presentations, large and small group discussion, service and retreats, and “building a binder,” teens are equipped to become lifelong disciples of Christ. Life Teen meets every Sunday morning from 9:15-10:15 AM in the St. Jerome Gym.

Small Groups

In addition to Sunday, Life Teen small groups meet on the first Wednesday of every month, 7:00-8:30 PM for in-depth study and fun. Small groups are a great way for teens to build Catholic friendships, connect with the Small Group leader, dig deeper into the faith, ask questions.

Binders

Once plugged into one of our Life Teen small groups, teens “build a binder.” Each session provides them with materials (maps, information, beautiful art) to catalogue all that they are learning. With a view toward Confirmation, binders help to keep attendance, organize our curriculum, and ensure satisfactory catechesis.

Confirmation Year

After having completed the 9th and 10th grade catechetical years, teens can apply to enter the Confirmation Intensive Small Groups, where they will prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. These Small Groups attend the Life Teen Sunday sessions, “build a binder,” attend the Retreat, and meet on Small Group Nights.
