UPDATE: from our Governor

“On Friday, March 13, 2020, Governor Tony Evers directed Department of Health Services Secretary Andrea Palm to issue a statewide closure of all public and private schools for pupil instruction and extracurricular activities as part of the state’s efforts to respond to and contain the spread of COVID-19 in Wisconsin. The mandated closure of schools will begin on Wednesday, March 18, with an anticipated reopening on April 6. The date of reopening is subject to change and districts may choose to close earlier if they elect to do so.

Parent Letter March 13, 2020

Dear St. Jerome Parish School Families,
The Archdiocese has directed us to follow our local school district’s decision regarding
closure. OASD just made the decision to close area schools, SJPS will follow and be closed
beginning Monday March 16th. Our school will remain closed for two weeks unless we are
instructed differently.
Teachers will reach out to families regarding instructional plans. All of the teachers have a
plan in place to continue learning. Teachers will be at school during normal hours and can
be contacted with any questions regarding instruction. Please contact your teacher or the
school office if you are in need of a device for your child to use for their learning.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue through these uncharted
waters. There is no precedent. Our goal is to keep everyone safe and learning continued
for our students.
